Outdoor Education Experiences
Over the course of the Bushcraft Show weekend (22-25 May 2026), Camp Wilderness and The Bushcraft Company will run a full, daily programme of kid-friendly activities.
Bushcraft Company sessions include the chance to take on a Bushcraft trial, make paracord bracelets, try axe throwing and archery, plus fire making (and toasting marshmallows over the fire!)
The full Bushcraft sessions timetable and list of activities can be found on The Bushcraft Shows official website and attendees can expect a fun, hands-on choice of projects designed for kids aged 7-16. These mini-sessions will be created to inspire young minds – perfect for first-time Bushcrafters, as well as kids who are already familiar with outdoor skills.
As two organisations rooted in outdoor education, bushcraft, and wilderness experiences, Camp Wilderness and The Bushcraft Company are honoured to support the Bushcraft Show’s Kids Zone. We believe deeply in the power of nature to build confidence, curiosity, and resilience in children. This event offers kids, families and educational leaders a unique chance to spend quality time together in the outdoors, try new skills, and spark a lifelong love of nature.
We see the Kids Zone as more than just entertainment – it’s a space to introduce the next generation to bushcraft in a safe, playful, and inspiring way. It aligns perfectly with the missions of Camp Wilderness and The Bushcraft Company of empowering young people, sharing survival knowledge, outdoor ethics, and traditional skills.

About Camp Wilderness
Camp Wilderness offers immersive outdoor adventure camps for children aged 8-14, providing multi-day experiences in a choice of woodland centres across the UK. Running throughout the summer and selected school holidays, our camps teach real bushcraft skills – from fire lighting and shelter building to outdoor cooking and navigation – all within a safe, supportive, and confidence-building environment.
