As a field cook for The Bushcraft Company I love how I get to use a mix of primitive and modern cooking techniques to provide high quality meals. The woodland environmental is often very different to most children’s normal lifestyle. This means the meals we serve are very new and different too. There is no better feeling than when the supportive camp environment enables a child to develop their confidence in trying new foods. One of my favourite parts of the role is waking up every day in an amazing woodland environment. The beautiful views and fresh air put any professional kitchen to shame!
